Jorinde Voigt, Radical Relaxation

Artist Jorinde Voigt currently has her second solo exhibition entitled Radical Relaxation at the König Galerie, Berlin until 24 July 2016. We very much like Voigt’s use of colour and drawn lines and script, finding  this an innovative and stylistically striking way of working. The König Galerie continues: “Since the mid-2000s Jorinde Voigt has developed a highly idiosyncratic graphic system for the visualization of experimental arrangements, experiences of reality, thoughts, sensory impressions, philosophical writings and music – a system which she is continually developing and expanding through the addition of new elements. SOUVENIR

Raul Diaz Reyes

When we first came across the work of Spanish artist Raúl Díaz Reyes, we knew this was an artist who could combine an arresting aesthetic with a conceptual depth and reasoning to his art. Born in Madrid in 1977, he has exhibited in Spain, Germany, USA, Mexico, Russia and Brazil and has an extensive CV to commend him. The artist has developed two distinct bodies of work. His art has been influenced by the architecture of São Paulo, New York and Madrid which can be witnessed in the pieces presented here. Aluminium sheets serve as a basis for elements of architectural…

In the past he made paintings which were mathematically mapped out and calculated. Nowadays he has abandoned this method by trusting his natural faculties: his body, mind and intuition in relation to the canvas. It evolves from nothing. Each piece of…

Jeff Koons at Newport Street Gallery

Newport Street Gallery is currently presenting ‘Now’, a solo exhibition of work by American artist Jeff Koons, which runs until 16th October 2016. Jeff Koons needs no introduction as he is widely considered to be one of the most significant artists to have emerged in the postwar era. For over thirty years, his work has explored themes of taste, consumerism, mass culture, beauty, and the role of the artist. ‘Now’ is the first major UK exhibition to be devoted to the artist since ‘Jeff Koons: Popeye Series’, at the Serpentine Gallery in 2009. Spanning thirty-five years of the artist’s career,…
